Filip is a New York based commercial photographer and photojournalist, with a unique talent at capturing the moment and emotion in all situations. His early career focused mainly on Nightlife, as his sensibility has developed through his experience in the underground New York scene, and around the world. His unique point of view and his passion have helped him gain credits as ‘Cool Nightlife Photographer’ by Time Out New York and ‘Most Influential’ by the Lens Magazine.
This early recognition has also allowed him to expand his work area towards Interiors & Architecture, Food & Drink, Lifestyle & Events. His photographs have since then been published worldwide in: The New York Times, LA Times, India Times, Wall Street Journal, New York Magazine, GQ, Food&Wine, National Geographic Traveler and many more. He is one of the main contributors to Time Out New York since 2011.
His recent work focuses on documentary photography for the Arts & Museums; he has built a strong working relationships with The Whitney Museum, The Metropolitan, The Guggenheim, The Rubin Museum and The City Museum of New York.
Filip is also a commercial pilot and flight instructor allowing him to often mix his passions and create fine art aerial photography series - which can be found here. His long-term projects also include travel photography; for several years he has been documenting the life of Buddhist monks and their culture through his work with The 17th Karmapa.
Filip brings to each of his images commitment, professionalism and attention to detail. He loves to offer interesting and relevant creative input to his clients, helping them develop their ideas even further.
